Direct Mass Measurement
The Fox Model FT2 measures the mass flow of gases directly in Standard Cubic Feet per Minute (SCFM), Normal Cubic Meters per Hour (NM3H), Kilograms per Hour (Kg/Hr), and other mass units without the need of pressure or temperature compensation. Isolated 4 to 20 mA and pulse outputs are standard.
Process Temperature Measurement
The FT2 also measures the process gas temperature. An isolated 4 to 20 mA output for temperature is standard.
Wide Turndown and Low Flow Capability
The Fox Flowmeter is capable of measuring low velocity flow better than any other flow technology. This
results in a wide measurement range and turn down: 100 to 1 typical; higher in many applications.
Inline and Insertion Models
Inline type flowmeters are available for ¼” to 6” pipes and have built-low conditioners which reduce the
requirement for long straight pipe upstream and downstream. Insertion type flowmeters substantially reduce installation cost and can be installed in pipe sizes from 1-1/2” up to large ducts.
Power Pro Sensor
All Fox Thermal Flowmeters include the state-of-the-art Power Pro sensor. The sensor is operated at a higher power level than competitive models resulting in improved response time and wider turndown.
Field Programmable
The optional Display and Configuration Panel or Palm PDA displays flow rate, flow total, elapse time (hours since the totalizer was reset), process temperature and alarms. Field configurable variables include flow and temperature engineering units, 4 to 20 mA scaling for flow and temperature, pulse output scaling, zero flow cut off, alarm settings (high flow, low flow, high temp, and low temp), filter setting, and many others.
Communications
RS232 for connecting a Palm Handheld or computer; RS 422/RS485-Modbus, Profibus-DP, DeviceNet or Ethernet.
NIST Traceable Calibration
All Fox Flowmeters are calibrated using NIST traceable standards. A calibration certificate is shipped with each flowmeter.
Discrete Input and Output
The discrete input can be programmed to clear alarms or reset the totalizer. The discrete output can be set to provide a signal when alarms are generated.
Enclosure & Area Rating
NEMA 4X enclosure is FM and FMc approved for Class I, II, III, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, E, F, G, T4A hazardous areas. It is also CE approved.
Input Power
24 VDC standard; 85 to 250 VAC, 50/60 Hz optional.
