Direct Mass Measurement
The Fox Model 10A measures the mass flow of gases directly in Standard Cubic Feet per Minute (SCFM), Normal Cubic Meters per Hour (NM3H), Kilograms per Hour (Kg/Hr), and other mass units without the need of pressure or temperature compensation. Isolated 4 to 20 mA and pulse outputs are standard.
Wide Turndown and Low Flow Capability
The Fox Flowmeter is capable of measuring low velocity flow better than any other flow technology. This
results in a wide measurement range and turn down: 100 to 1 typical; higher in many applications.
Power Pro Sensor
All Fox Thermal Flowmeters include the state-of-the-art Power Pro sensor. The sensor is operated at a higher power level than competitive models resulting in improved response time and wider turndown. The sensor is all-welded and is constructed of 316 stainless steel. There are no moving parts.
Microprocessor based
The on-board microprocessor performs the precision calculations necessary to convert the sensor signals into accurate mass flow readings. It also provides the capability for field programming using the Display and Configuration Panel.
Inline and Insertion Models
Inline type flowmeters are available for ¼” to 6” pipes and have built-low conditioners which reduce the
requirement for long straight pipe upstream and downstream. Insertion type flowmeters substantially reduce installation cost and can be installed in pipe sizes from 1-1/2” up to large ducts.
Display and Configuration Panel
The display shows flow rate, total and elapse time (in hours) since the totalizer was reset. The Configuration Panel permits changing the 4 mA setting, 20 mA setting, alarm setting, and pipe area used in the flow rate calculation.
NIST Traceable Calibration
All Fox Flowmeters are calibrated using NIST traceable standards. A calibration certificate is shipped with each flowmeter.
Isolated 4 to 20 mA
The isolated 4 - 20 mA output signal is proportional to mass flow rate.
Local Explosion-proof Enclosure
Powered by 24 VDC (4-wire: 2 for power, 2 for 4-20mA). The flowmeter is FM and CSA approved for Class I, Division 1, Groups B, C & D hazardous areas.
